Family holiday accommodation Queensland

Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast – this Gold Coast resort is all about kids with activities galore. Off-peak is the time to get amazing specials, which is great because here they do babies and toddlers so well. Stay two nights to save. Prices start from $179 per night. Includes one kids’ club session per child per day, daily activities and free use of the waterpark. Book before 30 September.

Cedar Creek Lodges – a lovely Gold Coast hinterland escape with accommodation that can sleep a family of up to 9. This place is about family fun, with heaps of activities next door at Thunderbird Park. Family packages available including meals and activities.

Northwind Beachfront Apartments – a central Mooloolaba location perfect for families with young children. Apartments can sleep a family or up to 7, with lower level apartments attracting a cheaper rate. Current specials include stay 4 nights, pay for 3; or stay 7 nights and only pay for 5. Subject to availability until 17 September.

Wittacork Dairy Cottages – four cottages (one of which can sleep a family of up to 8) on a gorgeous Sunshine Coast hinterland dairy farm near Maleny, where your children can interact with the animals. A current mid-week special (Sunday to Thursday) is 3 nights’ accommodation from $570. Until 31 March 2016 (block out dates apply).

On the Beach Apartments – a perfect base for a Tropical North holiday, opposite beautiful Trinity Beach. Large apartments with garden or ocean views. Great rates available for two and three bedroom apartments across from patrolled beach.

Accommodation Victoria

Novotel Forest Resort – a family friendly resort offering comfortable accommodation close to Ballarat and Daylesford. The ‘Patrick turns 30’ package starts at $249 for two adults and two children and includes buffet breakfast and a family pass to Ballarat Wildlife Park to see Patrick the Wombat.

Truemans Cottages – a collection of four holiday homes on the Mornington Peninsula. Very reasonable rates, including a winter special – stay at Tea Tree Cottage for just $160 per night if you bring your own linen and towels. Available until 31 August.

Melbourne Family Apartments – these two spacious apartments can sleep a family of 8, making them the perfect base for larger families on holiday in Melbourne. There is a standard 4 night minimum, but if you see a gap of less nights between bookings, contact the manager to arrange a fill-the-gap booking.

Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats – A wide range of family friendly properties managed by national tourism award-winning company. Stay 3 nights until 31 August to receive a 25% discount.

Accommodation NSW

Solitary Islands Marine Resort – relax on the NSW North Coast and discover the spectacular scenery at Wooli, with cabin accommodation sleeping up to 9. Stay 3 nights, pay for 2 on all sites and cabins until 1 September. Conditions apply.

Banjos Bushland Retreat – A bushland oasis in the Hunter Valley, with 3 lodges, one of which can sleep up to 10 and which as a group, can sleep up to 24 people. Plenty of on-site activities for the whole family. Contact the owner for standby rates that might be available

Marcel Towers – an affordable family and pet friendly apartment complex is beautiful Nambucca Heads. Winter warmer special – stay 5 nights or more for a 10% discount. Available until 31 August. Also, stay 7 nights, pay for 6 available all year.

Barcoos Farm Stay – relax or join in the activities on a working farm close to Bathurst. $10pp discount if you bring your own linen. Direct bookings are preferred.

Accommodation South Australia

Anderl’s Beach Cottage – there’s no need for specials here because the rate is the same every night of the year – $165 for a 3 bedroom beach cottage in the gorgeous seaside village of Beachport. Large yard perfect for kids.

Accommodation Western Australia

Pemberton Farm Chalets – A perfect farm stay for large families at Pemberton WA, with a four-bedroom house sleeping up to 10. Two other chalets available, meaning a group of up to 22 can stay together. Check out the website for specials.

Metro Hotel Perth – Enjoy stunning views of the Swan River and Perth city in a great family friendly location. Book two nights with 14 days advance notice and receive 20% off the best available rate. Complimentary car parking is available.

Forte Cape View Apartments – Spend 3 nights in a 2-bedroom bungalow for up to 4 people only $525 or 3 nights in a 3-bedroom bungalow for up to 6 people only $660.  Includes one free entry to the Yallingup Maze and ice creams in your unit on arrival. Conditions apply.
